The Gallery of the Time are the exhibitions about the history of Novgorod in the XX century which is situated in divided parts of the Kremlin wall between the Spasskaya Tower and the Princes' Tower. The space between the parts of the Kremlin wall appeared after reconstruction, when a large part of it fell to the ditch side of the Kremlin in April 1991. The reconstruction of this part of the wall began straight after the completion of the debris handling and complex researches. The wall was reconstructed in 1994 - 1996 by the new project of renovating the wall in the light (hollow) variant. The main architects were V.A. Popov, I.B. Ablizina, M.I. Popova, the engineers L.V. Hazron, the consultant P.A. Knovalov.

Today this place is turned into exhibitions halls. These exhibitions are the unique collections of Soviet and Western amateur film equipment, including the real rarities from the private collection of Valery Rubtsov. The exhibition “The Museum of Home Films” is the exposition “The walls see, the walls remember”. The walls of these divided parts of the Kremlin wall became the screen for retrospection frames from rare films of different years.  Here you can see the equipment in details, with which the chronicle of the century was conducted.

From 2013 there were made two small cinema halls for up to 14 people each.

The film screenings in cinema "Documentary" begins every 30 minutes.

The film screenings in cinema "Art" starts every 60 minutes.
