Orthodox Music Festival

Orthodox Music Festival is the unique program which is supported by Russian Ministry of Culture and Presidential Administration of Russian Federation. This musical enlightening project is addressed to the wide audience from Russia and abroad. The program of the festival consists of concerts of leading Russian and foreign choirs in St. Petersburg, Novgorod Veliky and on the island of Valaam, theme excursions, lectures and workshops of experts from Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Serbia, Georgia, etc. The festival of 2010 will take place at July, 5 – 29.

On July 24, 2010 at 1p.m. Veliky Novgorod hosts the Festival. The concerts as a part of the event takes place on Yaroslav's Courtyard.

In the program:
- The joint choir of the International Orthodox Music Festival. Conductors – Boris Abalyan
- The male vocal ensemble Valaam (Saint Petersburg). Artistic director – Alexy Zhukov
- The male choir Mdzlevari (Georgia). Artistic director – Kakhaber Onashvili
