The State Museum of Arts and Culture of Novgorod Land

The museum is located in the Nuns' block of the non-functioning Desyatinny convent of the 14th c. in the centre of the city. The museum was established in 2002. In 2007 it was incorporated into the Petrovskaya Academy of Science and Arts. The museum exhibits works by Novgorod artists of the late 20th - early 21st cc. Apart from running tours around the exposition and exhibition halls, Desyatinny cloister, the church of the Assumption of Our Lady on Volotovo Field (14th c.) the museum also arranges public meetings with Novgorod artists, master classes on making clay toys etc.
