On the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of January 2023, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Novgorod State United Museum invite the guests to attend the Fairy-tale New Year which will be held in Vitoslavlitsy Wooden Architecture Museum.

You will take part in the exciting journey in our enchanting countryside, where you will have the opportunity to dive into the rural culture and its customs and traditions, to meet the heroes of the most famous folk fairy-tales. Winter games in the village and tales characters will charm everyone, both the little ones and the grown-ups.

The country winter games will be a lot of fun, as well as the performances of the fancy-dressed characters: Emelya, Masha and the Bear and others. Both children and adults will be able to try to play with Roly-Poly. The people who enjoy ice games will like skating on the wooden skates. Vasilisa the Beautiful will spread her "magic tablecloth" and everyone will try the sweet porridge, cakes and hot sbiten (national drink made of honey and spices). 

Visitors of the Vitoslavlitsy museum will see the unforgettable New Year performance with Farher Frost and other fairy-tale characters, will take part in the workshops and theatrical performances, ride a sled. All the guests will have a chance to get the special Christmas gifts! And for sure, here you will find some Russian souvenirs to keep the memory of this wonderful experience.
